Home-Raised, Loving and Active Abys
Absolute Abyssinians is a small cattery located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It's actually not a cattery with cats in cages, it's my home that is shared with this most special breed of cat. My first Aby, Alice, came into my life back in 1979. It was love at first sight and I have never looked back. After briefly breeding Abys with Ying-Yang Cattery in New Orleans, I then had pet Abys for the next 20 something years. In 2005, I decided to return to breeding, remembering it as being one of the happiest times in my life. At this point, Absolute Abyssinians was founded.
Absolute has only two, perhaps three, litters a year, opting for quality over quantity. The two main guiding principles of our breeding program are health and disposition. While Absolute has enjoyed significant success in the showring, raising happy, healthy kittens is first priority...show success comes second.
Kittens placed in homes are fully vaccinated, altered (neutered/spayed) with a written health guarantee and sales contract. Absolute kittens also come with a secret
ingredient...they are socialized by Dobermans...specifically two body-slamming, furniture-rearranging Dobies. Uncle Thumpurr, resident Somali, also assists in socialization.
